An evocative, exciting, atmospheric, and sometimes scary, story about children lost in a wood, with only a keen bird-watcher able to understand the sounds. Cleverly written, but the jump across generations at the end was a little disconcerting

Books on magic are not in abundance in the readership, so this is a book I recommend as they are quite unusual and very good.

The book has many great characters, especially Gandalf and Gollum and many others, a lot of funny situations and a great story, the best u can get out of this genre. So overall a great book and a must read. This is one of my favorite books of all time. I have read it several times, and it never gets old!

It is a very short book but full of action, it is very easy to read, and very fast. It is also very easy to understand, and it is such a simple book that it is very easy to like it and read it quickly because it is a story that catches your attention, in which a little bit of history appears.

It is very interesting and nowadays it is very important to know about what happened so many years ago and this book shows it in a very funny and interesting way.
