Lesson 02: Survey of Animated Shorts

Directions:

In you group in class, do the following:

1. Find a short (less than 1 minute) example of an Animation that you like on YouTube.

2. Copy the link and submit to this Google Classroom

3. Be prepared to share why you picked the example and answer the following questions:

• How does this scene fit into the plot of the movie?

• What plot challenges is scene trying to solve? (Technical, story)

• How does Animation enhance the scene? (Would it work in live action?)

• Think of other Animated Movies - What are the corresponding Scenes?

• What was the greatest technical challenge of the scene?
