This is a giant heart that every student had the pleasure of placing hearts they designed in the Style of Chris Uphues. Each little heart has a face of emotion. We all have a lot of emotions daily but all together we are one heart at Calvary!
This is a Kindergarten split First grade class. They created butterflies with texture plates and Crayon. Then they cut them out. Finally they used the butterfly as a stencil and colored around the outside with pastel.
This is a 2nd grade and 3rd grade split class. They created 3-D mandala turtles. Students learned how to create radial symmetry through mandala art. They used colored pencils and many patterns to create these adorable families of turtles.
This 2nd grade class worked hard on a non-objective art work. They only could use shapes, lines, colors, and textures. This piece was a mixed media art piece mixing crayon, colored, pencil, and marker.

The media of this project is crayons and colored Pencils. When you place all pieces together you create whole flower designs. This is the collaborative portion.
This is a 3rd/4th split class. They created Zen tangled Sunflowers. They cute them out in pieces to reassemble on a Van Gogh "Starry Night" Inspired background. The Sunflowers were colored with patterns in colored pencils. The back ground was made using oil pastels in an impressionistic style line.
