Current Activities:
4-H - The Shawano/Waupaca County 4H will provide a variety of activities for our students. The 4-H is a dynamic youth organization across America where young people learn leadership, citizenship, and life skills by participating in club and community activities. For more information please visit: https://fyi.extension.wisc.edu/shawano4h/. This is offered opposite of archery to all students on Thursday.
Logic Lab - Mrs. Hiller, Mrs. Malueg, Mrs. Blum and Mrs. Schuettpelz provide the students with a variety of activities to choose from. There is LEGO's, Osmo's, FIRST LEGO League, and many other activities that the students can choose from. This is offered to students in grades 5K-6 on Wednesday.
Something Cool After School - This offering will be held at the public library and provide a variety of activities including literacy, games, and crafts. Kelly Schreiber, the Children's Librarian, will organize the activities. SCAF is offered on Mondays for students in grades 3rd-6th.
Arts & Crafts - Mrs. Dombrowski and Mrs. Wilson will develop a variety of activities that include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities along with different arts and crafts projects for the students. This is offered on Tuesdays to students in grades 5k-2.
Art Studio - Mrs. Dombrowski and Mrs. Wilson open up the art classroom on Fridays for students to work on projects of their choice. This is offered to students 5K-6.
Craft and Games - Miss Sether has activities in which the students will be given a task to complete each week that will require them to use science, technology, engineering and math. This is offered on Tuesdays to 3rd - 6th graders.
Archery - Mr. Edwards has created an indoor shooting range for archery in our cafeteria. Archery is offered every other week to each age group. Students will use the provided bows and arrows to learn about archery.
Monday Sports and ELA - Mrs. Kussman and Mrs. Elandt offer students a variety of activites and English/Language Arts activities. This is offered on Mondays to students in grades K5-2.
Field Trips - The Academy will be visiting different local businesses and other attractions.
Morning Session - Students will be able to play games, participate in activities, work on school assignments, and have access to Chromebooks during this time. This is open to all students in grades 5K-6 and is offered everyday that school is in session. This session is designed to provide academic enrichment activities.
