The 2020 Online Health Care Services is a live online medical, dental and psychoHub services, an initiative of MARINERS’ Legazpi City as a provision of good faith on telehealth during the COVID 19 nationwide public health emergency which is geared towards reinforcing the prevention of transmission of COVID 19. The program aims to help students, faculty members, and staff prevent the spread of COVID 19 and ensure their health during their online studies in their homes.
Virtual health care services allows clients to become more actively involved with their health care and allows the healthcare provider to have instantaneous access to health information for them to monitor, and reevaluate home treatment options to ease sufferings even from minor illnesses. As stated in the Minimum Health System capacity standards for COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Strategies under AO No.2020 – 0016, i.e., to increase physical and mental resilience in the school setting which is to reach out to those students, faculty members and staff through the telemedicine hotlines “to promote mental health”, this is because health emergencies can put people in extreme stress.
