Sunday, November 16, 2025 – Proper 28
Readings: Isaiah 65:17–25; Isaiah 12; Luke 21:5–19; New Testament: 2 Thessalonians 3:6–13
Reflection:
Isaiah paints a vision of a renewed creation where joy, justice, and peace abound—a promise that God’s work is unfolding even amid hardship. Paul urges the Thessalonians to persevere in faith, working diligently while waiting for Christ’s return. Jesus warns of trials, yet calls for steadfast endurance, promising that faith that clings to hope will not be shaken. Leaning into God’s promises allows us to participate in God’s renewing work and remain steadfast, even when circumstances seem overwhelming.
Question for Reflection:
Where is God inviting me to lean into hope, trusting that renewal and justice are unfolding beyond what I can see?
Prayer:
