At this time, Marigold Horizons Therapy is providing telehealth only services to client's located in the state of Michigan. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a HIPPA-compliant video platform. Telehealth allows you to meet with your therapist through a secure video platform from the comfort of your home. Sessions work just like in‑person therapy with the same support, same goals, same confidentiality but without the travel time. Many clients appreciate the flexibility, privacy, and convenience it offers, especially during busy seasons or when transportation or childcare is a barrier.
I offer 30‑, 45‑, and 60‑minute sessions so we can match the time to what you’re working on. Some clients prefer shorter check‑ins, while others benefit from a full hour. Your session length is flexible and tailored to you. Session lengths vary based on your needs.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will discuss your background, the reasons you are seeking therapy, and what you hope to achieve. This will also be a time for you to ask any questions you might have about the therapy process. Feel free to write down any thoughts or questions you have before our meeting. Bringing these to our session can help us focus on the issues most important to you. Please complete ALL intake paperwork prior to your appointment time. During your first appointment we will also review any questions or concerns you may have on the intake paperwork. You can expect your first session to last the full 60 minutes.
Therapy costs vary depending on your insurance plan and benefits. I also offer cash pay that can range from $100-$230. I accept most major insurance companies and submit all claims on your behalf. Clients are responsible for knowing their coverage by calling the number on the back of their insurance card to verify behavioral health benefits, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. A card is required to be kept on file, and any copays, deductibles, or coinsurance will be charged on the day of service unless other arrangements are made. All payments are processed securely through the patient portal.
I have a strict cancellation policy. Any cancellation made with less than 24 hours’ notice — including a no‑show — results in a $100 fee. This fee is processed to the card on file the day of the missed or late canceled session. This policy helps ensure that appointment times can be offered to clients on the cancellation list who are waiting to get in.
If you need to cancel an appointment, you can call, text, email, or send a secure message in the client portal.
Appointments are scheduled by reaching out directly—feel free to call or text 989‑214‑1178 or email kristin@marigoldhorizonstherapy.com. If you’re a new client, you can also complete the contact form on the website under the Contact tab, and I’ll follow up with next steps.
Therapy is a collaborative process. You can expect a safe, non‑judgmental space where we explore what’s going on in your life, identify patterns, build skills, and work toward the goals you set. Sessions may include talking through current stressors, learning coping tools, processing past experiences, and checking in on progress. You’re encouraged to show up as you are—no perfection required. You can expect honest conversation, skill‑building, and gentle exploration of the things that feel hard or stuck. We move at your pace, and each session is shaped around what you need that day, whether that’s grounding, processing, problem‑solving, or simply having space to breathe.
