Does your student need an instrument? There are two options for students at Marietta Middle to get an instrument.
Option 1: Rent an instrument from a well known music store or company. Buying an instrument right now is not recommended because most students will change sizes as they grow. Many shops offer rental programs that allow you to trade in an instrument for credit towards a new one.
Avoid purchasing an instrument from a big box store or website such as Walmart or Amazon. Although the price tag might sound good, I guarantee the instrument will not! Usually, these instruments are not playable without hundreds of dollars of repairs. Avoid the headache and use a reputable music store!
Need accessories for your instrument, or new strings? Check out these online retailers:
Option 2: Students may use a school owned instrument during this school year. Instruments may be taken home for practice. Cellos and basses can be checked out over the weekend and breaks. All students must have a signed contract in order to be allowed to use the instrument. If any damages occur, this must be reported immediately. The student and their family may be responsible for the cost of the repairs.
