Above is a vector representation of this scenic picture of Venice designed for my CIS120DB Adobe Illustrator: Level 1 course. I created the image using Illustrator CC. I worked on this over a few days and used a variety of tools to achieve the intended result. Most of the vectors are colored using a gradient to give depth and many layers were grouped together and copy/pasted when appropriate to use time most effectively. For my final assignment, I chose to recreate an image of a canal in Venice. My grandma is from Italy and has told me stories about her childhood when she lived by the ocean, so I have a fondness for colorful towns on the seaside. When I found this image, I was excited to finally draw one of the things I’ve loved looking at and dreaming about.
