The Academic Resource Department is responsible for implementing and maintaining the academic accommodations for students enrolled at MCCHS. Marian Central uses the Individual Services Plan, based on recommendations from IEPs, Section 504 plans, and a host of other professional reports.
The ISP carries all the academic weight of it's public school equivalent, and can be used as documentation for, but not guaranteed on, standardized testing and for college accommodations.
Renewal meetings for current students are held in the spring. Incoming Freshmen and transfer students meet during the registration process. It is important to have your ISP plan and current diagnosis/documentation updated annually.
Marian Central will determine whether certain accommodations are reasonable with respect to resources, the ability of the teacher to perform those accommodations, and the perceived fairness and respect for students within a particular course.
