In an effort to help our teachers in this unprecedented situation we are sharing a list of distance learning resources that are recommended by fellow educators. Some may fit into your curriculum. They may not follow state standards directly, but the content will be sound. Please keep in mind that this page will be updated regularly. Bedtime Math (K-5) -Aims to engage parents and children in short math activities with the goal of reducing math anxiety for both parents and kids. Please do not do Bedtime Math in class or assign it as homework! It’s essential to our movement that kids see Bedtime Math as a “home thing,” not a “school thing.”

Big Ideas Math Textbooks: Big Ideas Math is giving students free access to all its K–12 math textbooks. No registration is required. If you do not have electronic Math textbooks you can find one and share it directly with your students.

Black Line Masters for Elementary and Middle School (K-6) - The companion website for Elementary and Middle School Mathematics, Sixth Edition, by John A. Van de Walle. This website contains the black line masters for all the chapters in the text book.

Desmos (6-12) - Online graphing calculator along with integrated lesson

Elementary Mathematics Standards of Excellence from Georgie (K-5) - Provides unit of work by grade level.

Google's Applied Digital Skills -(MS-HS) an impressive resource with projects that are engaging, relevant and connected to the real world. Content includes math, research, publishing, communication etc

Khan Academy (K-12) - What is Khan Academy? We offer exercises, quizzes, and tests so students can practice and master skills. This resource will help students focus on ACT and SAT prep.

Khan Academy Kids For Mobile devices - Inspire a lifetime of learning and discovery with our free, fun educational program for children ages two to seven.

Prodigy (1-8) - Recommend to select ‘Play Offline’, as online play allows chat. Easily motivate students to learn and practice math

SFUSD Mathematics READY TO USE (K-5)- SFUSD has produced 10 days of activities that teachers can choose to assign to students for them to complete at home.

Mathalicous (6-12) - Real-world lessons from Mathalicious help middle and high school teachers address the Michigan Math Standards while challenging their students to think critically about the world.

Math Playground Thinking Blocks (K-6) -This site includes real world problems with visual prompts. Students can use interactive models to solve the problems.

Math Learning Center Apps (K-5)- Includes interactive visual models for fractions, geometry, time, money, and number sense

NCTM Illuminations (K-12) - Interactive games, played online, used to support a wide variety of mathematics content.

Number sense resources:

NZMaths (K-12) - The goal of NZMath units is to encourage students to think mathematically and become confident and comfortable with the mathematics they are using. Our units provide sufficient activities for a week of teaching. We imagine that as a teacher you might want to combine our units with other resources to extend the unit.

The Actuarial Foundation (4-12) - The Actuarial Foundation promotes math achievement that contributes to financial literacy through an array of free, interactive, real-world resources. All of these lesson plans, discussion materials, posters, online activities and competitions are specifically tailored to meet the needs of students in grades 4-12 and their teachers.
