5Aspen Trip to Tate Modern

Central idea: The appreciation of artforms can be determined by the audience.

This week, we had our trip to the Tate Modern to explore different artforms, and to say we were amazed is an understatement. Every room we entered was greeted with a 'wow' as we began to appreciate, and interpret, the range of artwork on display. We are looking forward to using our experiences within our inquiry work next week.

In the meantime, we have been exploring historical artefacts, and considering why these are useful sources in interpreting and understanding the past. We used this knowledge to write a diary entry as a character who had a connection to one of the artefacts!
