Principal's Message
Happy New Year to you all! The children have returned to school brimming with energy and undeterred by the current cold weather. Following a period of reflection on their previous inquiries at the start of the week, they have embarked upon their new inquiries with great enthusiasm.
We would like to invite all parents and carers to a coffee morning on Friday, 16th January, at 8.30 am. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to engage with the Senior Leadership Team, ask any questions, and share suggestions. We look forward to welcoming you.
There are lots of events coming up over the next few weeks. Please remember to check the key dates on the newsletter for more details.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Congratulations to George M, who has been awarded the Chief Scout's Silver Award at Cubs, the highest achievement a Cub Scout can earn. This award is a major milestone that shows a Cub has 'stuck it out' and tried new things across their entire time in the section.
To get the Silver Award, a Cub must complete 7 Challenge Awards and 6 Activity or Stage Activity Badges.
Well done George - we are incredibly proud of you!
Managing Children's Digital Lives
Parenting today can feel overwhelming — especially when childhood looks so different from what we grew up with. There’s no manual, and it can be hard to keep up with the fast-changing digital world your child moves through every day.
The Children's Commissioner has published the following guide to help make those conversations easier and enable you to support your child with confidence.
This #WakeUpWednesday edition offers clear, supportive guidance to help parents and educators feel more confident in navigating the online world with children and young people. It looks at how everyday conversations, simple boundaries, and a bit of digital awareness can make a real difference to young people’s online experiences.
This guide also explores how parents and educators can create an environment where children feel comfortable asking for help when something online unsettles them. By highlighting the importance of safe and healthy internet usage, these tips provide a grounded starting point for anyone supporting young people’s digital lives.
