Scholarships

Updated for the 2023-2024 School Year

Students and families in the Merrill Area Public School district benefit from a scholarship program that has been described as the most generous in Wisconsin.
The Merrill community has a long history of providing locally-supported scholarships to deserving students, as they embark on a variety of education and career paths. This ongoing community and foundation support includes scholarship opportunities ranging from several hundred dollars per year to full ride scholarships to post-secondary institutions such as the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Notre Dame.
In the spring of 2023, businesses, individuals, and families offered our graduates over $750,000 in both one-time and continuing local scholarships. When scholarships from outside organizations are added to that figure, the class of 2023 earned over $1.6 million in post-secondary education awards. Their sustained generosity of the Merrill community has made it possible for more Merrill graduates to pursue post-secondary career goals at local, state, and national colleges and universities.
