Description: This Algebra course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the structure of Algebra. The class emphasizes equations, inequalities, polynomials, fractions, graphs, real numbers and their operations. Note: A grade of a C or better is required to take General & Honors Chemistry.
REMEDIAL GEOMETRY (Not offered in 2024)

Description: Geometry is the study of logical thinking and mathematical proof. Algebraic methods are used to derive geometric principles. Basic axioms and definitions lead to the development of Euclid’s theorems. This course emphasizes theory, some application, and critical thinking.

Description: General Physical Science is a course which studies the nature of the material world such as the atomic theory, the nature of motion, the nature of energy and the interactions between matter and energy. Appropriate levels of mathematical skills will be integrated as necessary to help make predictions and draw conclusions in developing rational thought.

Description: Biology is the study of all life forms, their structure, function, evolution, and relationship to each other and to their environment. Emphasis is placed on biological and chemical processes that are common to all forms of life as well as human and environmental interaction. Laboratory investigations are an integral part of this course.
