Why Edpuzzle?
Edpuzzle is an easy-to-use platform allowing you to engage every student, one video at a time. It allows you to pause videos and check for understanding by asking a question. You can add pauses to videos you create or you can edit videos from many sources including youtube. It integrates with google classroom or students can login with google or they can just enter their name when the go to the edPuzzle link you assign. Students do not see each other's work. Students can’t skip ahead, if they go to another tab/browser the video pauses. You can see how much of the video students have watched.
Why FlipGrid?
Flipgrid is a free, simple way to foster short video-based discussions on classroom topics. Educators, learners, and families can use Flipgrid at school or at home to stay connected and share their continued learning experiences asynchronously.
Why Whiteboard Apps?
Bringing your classroom whiteboard into the digital world. Whiteboards are a mainstay in our classroom. These whiteboard apps look to provide an online version where students can collaborate and teachers can utilize as a teaching tool
Jamboard is part of the Google Suite. It is a virtual whiteboard that allows real time collaboration.
iDroo is a virtual whiteboard with a collaboration component but more tools for teaching, especially math teaching.
Whiteboard.fi gives each student a copy of your whiteboard to edit. You can see the students' edits in real time.
Why WeVideo?
WeVideo is a video and audio creation and editing tool that is well integrated with Google Drive in which SACs educators and students have accounts. You can use WeVideo to make video and audio recordings and can publish these recordings to many locations. Video creation can include stock content from WeVideo, screen recordings you make of your lessons, podcasts, green screening, and more!
WhyNearPod?
Nearpod is an interactive slideshow tool that can be used synchronously or asynchronously and adds-on to google slides. Students do not need accounts- teachers give the students a link to go to. Students do need to enter their name. Interactive elements include matching, fill in the blank, drawing, and more.
