Unpaid Placement Records
Managing an Unpaid Placement SAE Project
You should enter your records when you work. You can group your entries for example, if you work both days of a weekend you can enter them as 1 entry or if for your project you work every day for a short period you can enter your records weekly.
Choose the “Journal” tab at the top of the screen
Select “Time in your AET Experiences (SAE’s)
Enter the correct date
Select your project from the drop down list
Complete all the blanks and list a description of the work performed and/or what you learned
Click Save at the bottom of the page
Managing an Exploratory SAE Project
Project should include 2 parts.
Research the career you are interested in. Look up information related to the career (how much will get paid, benefits, education requirements, what you would do in this job, demand for this career, etc.)
Set up and carry out a job shadowing experience with someone in your selected career.
You should enter your records whenever you do something for your SAE
Choose the “Journal” tab at the top of the page
Select “Time in your AET Experiences (SAEs)
Enter the correct date
Select your project from the drop down list
Complete all the blanks and list a description of the work performed and/or what you learned
Click Save at the bottom of the page
