Meet Mrs. Grosse

Oh, Hi there!

Hi, my name is Meghan Grosse and I am one of the third grade teachers here at Mansfield Township Elementary School. I am eager to begin my 22nd year teaching in Mansfield Twp.  I have taught both 1st and 3rd grades previously. I am a graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. There, I received Bachelors Degrees in Elementary Education and Geography. I also earned my Master's Degree in Reading and Language Arts from Rider University and am a certified Reading Specialist. One of the high points of my career was being honored as JHES Teacher of the Year for 2017! I love my job, and teaching in Mansfield is always a fun and rewarding experience. As a teacher, I pride myself on teaching students to love learning.  Outside of school, I enjoy relaxing at the beach, reading, exploring educational technology, running, and spending time with family and friends. I am married to my wonderful husband and am a proud mom of two amazing sons (ages 16 and 13) who keep me busy with sports and other activities!  Plus, I have a sweet bulldog who keeps me on my toes!

My Teaching Philosophy

My goal is to foster a classroom environment that is a comfortable place for all students, a place where students are encouraged to think critically as well as creatively through discussion, inquiry, and reflective thinking, Most of all, a classroom where learning, communication, respect, and self-esteem are the key elements.
