Occasional math practice will be sent home. It is to be completed when sent home and returned the following day.
Fundations practice will be sent home at the beginning of the week. Students will need parent help for these activities. Completed work is due on Friday of that week.
I also recommended students read 15 minutes daily. We will not keep a log, however I will occasionally ask to students to share what they are reading at home. If interested, and to keep students motivated, you may participate in the Phillies Phanatic About Reading program. (Information will be given out at Back to School Night).
Other extra practice ideas for home: journal writing to reflect on the day (correct capitals and punctuation are important), practice spelling patterns and sight words (found on the Fundations home letters), memorizing addition and subtraction facts to 20 (flash cards are great practice for this), shoe tying
