About NSMH-03

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted or halted critical mental health services in 93% of countries worldwide while the demand for mental health is increasing, according to a new WHO survey. The survey of 130 countries provides the first global data showing the devastating impact of COVID-19 on access to mental health services and underscores the urgent need for increased funding and attention.

Good mental health is absolutely fundamental to overall health and well-being. The year 2021 needs close attention to feel mentally well, we can work productively, enjoy our free time, and contribute actively to our communities. NSMH-03 will provide information, resources and resonance to help everyone keep mentally healthy and to reduce stress. We hope you will find NSMH-03 useful.

Objectives of NSMH-03

  1. To discuss domains of wellbeing which have a stronger resonance for persons with disabilities in 2021.

  2. To propose the models of self-care for the individuals, families and communities to promote health and to cope with illness and disability.

  3. To develop and ensure a psychological safety system for everyone to look after their wellbeing and support in communities

Desired outcome

1.1. By discussing domains of wellbeing, the participants will be able to describe the following points in her/his own words:

1.1.1. Career wellbeing: You like what you do every day.

1.1.2. Social wellbeing: You have meaningful friendships in your life.

1.1.3. Financial wellbeing: You manage your money well.

1.1.4. Physical wellbeing: You have the energy to get things done.

1.1.5. Community wellbeing: You like where you live.

2.1. After presenting the Self Care Model, the participants will be able:

2.1.1. Prioritizing Self Care in 2021 for mental health

2.1.2. Illustrate Hi-tech self-care

2.1.3. Determine wellness forecast: The wellness trends in 2021

2.1.4. Re-energising the world! Clean Care is Safer Care

3.1. On simplifying psychological safety, the participants will be empowered for their wellbeing and work.

3.1.1. Feeling safe at work.

3.1.2. Make mental wellbeing the NORM.

3.1.3. Reaching out to a professional: sometimes, one of the best things you can do to prioritize your mental health is simply contacting a mental health professional.
