In Term 3 of 2022, we surveyed our current Enrichment cohort about their experiences in the program. Here are some of the things they had to say:

I believe that the Enrichment program creates powerful learning experiences that challenge students to explore their interests and discover new information and knowledge. It makes sure that students are learning far beyond what they are capable of and are expected to know. The Enrichment program sets a high standard for every student to accomplish their highest potential so that they can achieve greater things in the future. This has been a very remarkable experience for me as I have excelled so much in all of my subjects, achieving the best I can. In my opinion, this program creates a very healthy environment for all students to perform their best and compete in a challenging atmosphere with their peers- Alisha Mukhi, 2022 Year 8 Enrichment student.

I really enjoy being a part of the Enrichment class because it helps me extend my abilities in various subjects. This helps me to feel confident about my education and being a part of the class also means having supportive classmates who don’t make fun of you if you are unable to solve a question asked by the teacher. Being in Enrichment also encourages me to succeed in the thing I truly want to do- Iba Ami, 2022 Year 8 Enrichment student.

My experience in the Year 7 Enrichment program has been amazing. I have enjoyed the extra challenging work that has been provided to me by my teachers. I have also had the opportunity to meet like minded students from different schools and classes. My name is Omraj Bhatt and I am in the Year 8 Enrichment class of 2022, my experience was full of laughter, learning and overall great experiences. It was great having access to new and more advanced information and curriculum. I met many interesting people and learned so much about the world around me as well as the use of what we learn in the real world. I learned how to improve, and took my feedback as a way to become better than I was yesterday. I am satisfied with my experience in Enrichment and hope that the program only improves throughout the years to come-  Omraj Bhatt, 2022 Year 8 Enrichment student.

The Enrichment Program for me was a blast. At first, I was anxious but now, it’s a fun feeling being in the extended class. 2022 by far is my best year with COVID around, and has taught me many new concepts. I’ve also been able to make much more friends than last year despite me attaining a massive string of friends previously, but with Enrichment, I’ve met more people whom I’ve befriended throughout the months. Not only that, these are students who share similar interests and ideas and their intelligence competes against my own, some even with far superior knowledge. Overall, a generally great experience a that taught me life lessons and increased my resilience highly and I hope I pass the exam and am registered into the 2023 Enrichment Program- Colin Calata, 2022 Year 7 Enrichment student.

Being in Enrichment is nice, I joined in term 2 and I like the experience so far. Being able to work with like-minded people is nice and I get challenged. What I like most about being in enrichment is that you're able to work above your year level and extend your knowledge- Josiah Getie, 2022 Year 7 Enrichment student.

The Enrichment class was an amazing experience to be a part of. I got to meet many more people and learn many more new things. And these things weren’t easy, they were challenging which made my brain sharper and smarter. I hope I can be a part of this again!  Swasti Gupta, 2022 Year 7 Enrichment student.

I think that being in the Enrichment class has taught me a lot. I’ve grown close with many of my classmates and I’ve been able to not only receive help and feedback but also give feedback and advice to everyone. The Enrichment program is a great opportunity for everyone to extend themselves and discover their capabilities. My experiences as an Enrichment student for the past two years has been amazing. It has challenged me and given me an opportunity to study in a positive and more focused environment - my classmates are overwhelmingly supportive towards each other and I am very grateful for that. I enjoyed doing the Enrichment class because I learnt a lot of new things. My favourite subject is maths because I am good at it and also I think that is where I learn a lot and affects a lot on my opinion on Enrichment because I like how my Maths Teacher teaches the class a subject because he experiments with unique ways on learning such as the students making their own rubric or becoming teachers and teaching other students. The thing I like most about being Enrichment is the challenge I receive in classes- Avik Renjith, 2022 Year 7 Enrichment student.

My overall reflection for the Enrichment class was that I felt like I belonged to be among people that had the same level of intelligence as me. I learnt a lot of new things and was very proud of the hard work I was doing in the class. Also I made some new friends (I already had a lot), and comforted them when they came to this class. This class strengthened my skills in a lot of places (mainly English as we were doing year 8 work) and I loved being able to extend my knowledge- Eric Sherasiya, 2022 Year 7 Enrichment student.

Enrichment has been a great and fun challenge for me, being able to learn from and with other students that share the same passion for learning is an enjoyable experience. There have been some concepts that first come out as difficult and confusing, but the teachers for enrichment have helped us improve exponentially. My experience in the enrichment class has been challenging and I pushed myself to my limits and have learned a lot from my classes and very helpful teachers.
