George Lock was born in the Bronx, New York City. He went to college in Boston where he studied abroad in Ecuador. As an educator for nearly 20 years, George Lockhas been a science teacher, advisor to new teachers in an alternative certification program, assistant principal, and principal. He is passionate in his work to provide his students with equal access to a high quality educational program that prepares them for the rigors of college and the 21st century workforce. He believes in strengthening the bonds of all students within the school so they may lift each other up as a community. He takes the time to get to know his students well in order to guide them in reaching their full potential. He is committed to the vision of celebrating Latino heritage while creating a bridge into America for newcomers.
