Spelling

At Mangōnui School we use a spelling programme called "The Code". 

This programme teaches students different spelling rules, letter sounds and letter combinations and how we put these sounds together when we spell. 

We also learn "Heart words" which are words that have irregular sounds in them so are harder to sound out.
