A graduate profile is a way to communicate a shared understanding of what a future-oriented learner looks like . MCSs graduate profile describes the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that we aim to develop in students prior to their leaving in Year 8 in order to participate in a range of life contexts beyond school.
On leaving MCS, you will display:
- Character - Be honest, hard working and care for your health and well-being. Be a Leader.
- Citizenship - Be confident and connected to your own culture, be globally aware and show respect for other cultures and the environment.
- Communication - Good skills in talking, listening, reading, writing and mathematics using a variety of digital tools and devices.
- Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Skills - Think critically to design an inquiry and then follow the MCS Inquiry Cycle, using a variety of resources.
- Collaboration - Work well in teams, learn from others and help others too. (Tāne Mahuta, Tāwhirimātea)
- Creativity and Imagination - Be an entrepreneur (Merchants of Mangere), explore The Arts (Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts), have good ideas - follow them.
