1. Cut out a piece of cardboard the size you would like your board game2. Paint the background (a base coat of paint) how you would like it3. Let the paint dry and work on the cards4. Cut out paper into 2x3 cards, you will need 64 total5. Choose the 7 colors that will be on the path of your game board; one needs to be the "special" color for short cuts6. Put that special color on only 6 cards, then do the rest of the cards in the other 6 colors. (some cards can have the color on there twice)7. Now that the board is dry, in pencil draw the path you would like your game to follow, be sure to break it into squares or circles to create the path. 8. Using acrylic paint on the background, pick which spaces will be the special color. There can only be 6 special spots on the board. 9. Using the same colors you chose for your cards paint the path alternating all 6 colors around the special spots too. 10. Let the board dry12. Draw pictures on the board and cards if you want and paint them in13. Make or paint your game pieces (I used found objects like paper clips, bobby pins, and bottle caps.)14. Shuffle your cards, find some people to play with, and try out your game!
