A Writing Lab is a physical space where a writer can go to get feedback on their writing. A Writing Lab will typically not edit a paper for a writer, but will offer suggestions for organization and structure based on a paper's audience and purpose.
What is an Online Writing Lab?
An Online Writing Lab, often referred to as an OWL for short, is an online space where a writer can research specific topics related to writing. The first OWL was created by Purdue (Purdue OWL).
What is the Mancos Online Writing Lab?
The Mancos Online Writing Lab was started in the summer of 2022 as a part of Adyan Farrar's capstone project for her masters in English Education. The mission of the Mancos OWL is to pull together writing resources from across the secondary disciplines so that teachers and students are using the same vocabulary and methods. The goal is to build our Mancos students' writing skills.
