Hybrid Instructional Program

Hybrid Instructional Program

Learning supported by Manara teachers while students attend school In-Person on campus and learn from home. Parents choosing this learning model will attend a Zoom Parent Orientation Meeting prior to the start of the school year.

  1. You must be enrolled with Manara Academy to participate in the Hybrid Learning Program.

  2. Hybrid Learning will consist of learning on campus in person two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and learning from home three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) Students will follow their daily schedule and attend all classes in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays and continue their learning from home by following their at-home learning plan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

  3. Students must login daily, actively participate, complete daily assignments and submt them - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Attendance is REQUIRED each school day, not just "present", but actively "engaged". Attending scheduled virtual meetings/live sessions with teachers is also REQUIRED in order to be counted as engaged on Mon/Wed/Fri. Therefore, students must be present and engaged during normal school hours. Being present and to school on time is also required on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  4. Students are graded in the same manner according to school policy on remote learning days as students attending school in person. See local grading policy for more details. Manara's late work policy applies. During the 2020-2021 school year "hold harmless grading" does NOT apply. Meaning, students are held accountable for school participation, assignment submission, daily attendance and daily participation.

  5. Parents choosing the Hybrid Instructional Model are asked to remain in this learning environment for an entire marking period (9 weeks) before deciding to return to school to participate in the full time In-Person learning environment. Families can continue to choose to remain in the Hybrid Learning environment for as long as this continues to be offered as learning option for the 2020-2021 school year.

  6. Families may decide to change their learning plan to the At-Home Learning at any time, due to public health concern. Once changing to the At-Home Learning environment, a student must remain with that learning model for the remainder of that marking/grading period.

  7. School Truancy Laws, required daily attendance, as well as reporting absences all apply throughout the school year in the In-Person Learning environment.

  8. Students attending the Hybrid Learning Model are required to follow all school policies, including dress code while attending In-Person. School Code of Conduct applies in an online environment as well.

  9. Students are required to stay current with their daily learning plans, as they shift between in person and online learning.

  10. Students will be required to be health screened for temperatures, COVID-19 Symptoms as well as wear a mask while attending school in person or riding Manara transportation.

  11. Please see the School Health and Safety page in this website as well as School Transportation and School Nutrition for additional information about operational procedures during COVID-19.

This model may not be offered if there is lack of interest from our families in this educational option. Your survey will help us to decide if this is a great educational option for Manara families and their children. You may decide to choose this option for the first 9-weeks of the school year then change the learning option after the first grading period.

Please read through all instructional models before choosing the best option for your child's learning and personal health and safety.

  • The instructional model you choose will be your child's learning plan for the first 9-weeks of school; our first grading period. You may continue with your choice of the same learning plan beyond the first nine weeks of school, and even throughout the entire school year.

  • Parents choosing the At-Home Learning will have the option to move from the At-Home to the In-Person or Hybrid instruction if they choose to do so, AFTER the first 9-week grading period.

  • Each 9-week grading period will provide opportunity to make a change to your child's learning plan if a parent makes the decision to do so based upon their comfort level of a return to school, health & safety or educational interests of their child.

  • At anytime, while enrolled the In-Person or Hybrid Learning Model a parent may request to have their child moved to online learning out of consideration for health and safety. However, they will then remain in the At-Home Learning environment, until the end of a grading period before making the decision to return to In-Person or Hybrid Learning program.

If choosing this option for instruction you may access the Educational Choice Survey Below:
