Hommocks COUNSELING

The Hommocks Counseling Department works to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of all of our students.  Upon entering Hommocks in 6th grade, students are assigned to a team and a school counselor with whom they will work with for 6th and 7th grade. Our 8th graders will work with our 8th grade counselor, Ms. Browne. This model ensures that the students and counselors will establish a personal relationship that will best address the developmental needs of the student.

The Hommocks Counseling Department (which includes five school counselors, four school psychologists and a social worker), works collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, administration and community resources to further develop each student’s potential as a scholar, a peer and a responsible and contributing community member. We do this through active listening and assisting our students in goal setting and good decision making.  Our goal is to have all students maximize their personal, academic, social and emotional growth as they become young adults.

We encourage you to use our website to find valuable resources for participation in our school’s community and to help you and your children through their continued educational journey at Hommocks Middle School.
