7th grade iPOP

In 7th grade, students have the option to remain in their performing ensemble, or choose to participate in the general music program: iPOP or eMusic 1.

In the iPOP course, students continue to build upon the skills acquired during their 6th grade experience. Students will gain foundational skills to play, orchestrate and produce popular music, through drumming, ukulele, and a web-based studio recording and editing software. Throughout the year, we will examine, listen, and compare the music of iconic musicians who have shaped popular music. Students are exposed to and study music from a variety of performers, composers, and cultures. The iPOP experience culminates in a cover-arrangement recording experience of the student's choice.
