6th Grade General Music

Here at Hommocks, all 6th grade students take one quarter of Exploring Music. In this course, students are exposed to a diverse amount of musical styles that allow them to develop the necessary skills to be a successful musician. Students will rotate playing keyboards, ukuleles and percussion instruments, while also learning the foundations of music technology and recording techniques. In addition to learning the above instruments, students will also develop music literacy skills (i.e. reading rhythms and pitches, dictation skills and listening/analysis).
