The advisory council helps create a system of checks and balances for the school counseling program. The council is set into place to ensure the counseling program remains student focused and is working toward the growth and success of all students. The council helps establish the goals of the counseling program, reviews the results of the program and makes appropriate recommendations to improve the overall program. Additionally, the council engages in public relations and advocates for funding and resources.
