The Maine West Genders and Sexualities Alliance (GSA) is a next generation LGBTQIA+ racial and gender justice organization that empowers queer, trans and allied youth leaders to advocate, organize and mobilize an intersectional movement for safer schools and healthier communities.

WHO: All are welcome, including allies, from Chicagoland and beyond. We will have activities for younger children through adults.  

WHEN: Saturday, June 1st 3:00-7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Maine West High School D-wing parking lot.  

COST: Free!  If you are able, please bring cash to donate to support the event. 

WHAT: A festival to celebrate the joy that comes from embracing who you are.

Including:

• Games and crafts, including button, bracelet making, and more!

• Live entertainment, including a Family Friendly Drag Show

• Local LGBTQIA+ Support Organizations

• Queer History Exhibits

GOALS: 

• To inspire joy and community engagement

• To be inclusive, intersectional, accessible, and anti-racist 

• To be safe and family-friendly 

• To acknowledge LGBTQIA+ people past, present & future,

• To include all genders and sexualities - whether or not people are out

• To support local organizations and to be environmentally friendly
