Mid-March - The department will register you for summer classes
March 2nd or as soon after you Matriculate - By this date, complete the summer registration survey.
Mid-March or when you matriculate: check your Mainestreet account and if you have a hold that says "Financial Terms and Conditions" or something similar, click on it and follow the easy steps to resolve it. We can't register you if this hold is there. There will be another hold for "Advising and Course Selection Appointment". Disregard this since the department will drop it when we register you. You will not do a 1:1 appointment but have a group orientation in May.
June 1: Clinical health requirements due. (Details below.)
May 12, 3:30–5:30 PM: Zoom Accelerated Nursing Orientation. Save the date! A Zoom link will be emailed closer to the date.
May 18: Summer classes begin.
Check the Academic Calendar to see holidays in the summer when USM will be closed and there won't be classes.
Please complete the summer registration survey by March 20th.
Resolve Financial Terms and Conditions Hold on Your Account:

Once you have matriculated to USM (paid your deposit with admissions) you'll start using your @maine.edu email: This is the only email we will use to communicate with you.
Check it regularly (including over breaks, and in the spring before classes start) to avoid missing vital information and deadlines.
You will be added to an email listserv called CONUNDER which is used by the department to share general announcements with all undergraduate nursing majors.
You may qualify for a course waiver on NUR 321 health-related research if you’ve taken equivalent coursework in research methods. The course you took must have included qualitative, quantitative, research ethics, and evidence-based practice. We can consider a combination of multiple syllabi if you have more than one relevant prior course.
Use this form to submit a syllabus for evaluation. We cannot complete an evaluation without a syllabus. If you do not have a syllabus try contacting the administrative specialist at the department where you took the course and they will likely have it on file.
In prior years we considered waivers for NUR 356 community health nursing, however, due to changes to this course to be highly nursing-focused and include nursing ATI technology all students must take this course.
Textbooks: After you are registered for classes, visit the USM Campus Store to view the required materials. (These may not show until after March 1st)
