The Assessment Technology Institute (ATI) is an essential tool used by the University of Southern Maine's School of Nursing to support student success and ensure high standards in nursing education. ATI provides a comprehensive series of learning resources, including abbreviated textbooks, practice assessments, remediation tools, and predictive testing, all designed to strengthen students' critical thinking and clinical judgment skills. At USM, we use ATI to help prepare nursing students for the NCLEX licensure exam and to identify areas for improvement throughout their academic journey. By integrating ATI into our curriculum, we aim to enhance learning outcomes, support faculty instruction, and ultimately produce competent, confident nursing professionals.

At the end of your time in the program, students will participate in a three day live Comprehensive NCLEX Review. A nurse educator from ATI leads this review, providing resources and strategies for success in studying for, and passing the NCLEX. During these three days students will cover essential subject areas, apply nursing knowledge and use critical thinking, clinical judgment, and test-taking strategies.
