The payload bay has capacity for a 6 inch cube with a weight of 1 pound. It is connected to the fuselage via two mounting bracket that screw into mounting holes in the payload.
The payload bay has a clear acrylic viewing window on the bottom of the body which allows for a camera mounted inside the payload holder to have an unobstructed view of the ground.
By using four propellers pointed upwards, thrust is generated that provides take-off and landing capability similar to a quadcopter. This allows the UAV to work in unpredictable locations where a conventional fixed wing drone would require a runway.
