In this proposal, I introduce the similarities between STEM and English disciplines that could benefit students, faculty, and the Writing Center.

In this essay, I objectively examine my writing first from a reflection lens, seen in my first draft, and then analyzed it. By objectively analyzing I was able to be honest with myself what my writing was actually doing and not just saying.

This writing was for ENG 395 (English Internship); a course here at the University of Maine to help teach and prepare students to become tutors at the Writing Center. In this piece we break apart paragraphs in "Why Read Aloud." By breaking each paragraph down we are able to see what the paragraph is saying (the reader is reading) and what it is doing (what effect is the reader getting from this).
These are a few examples of my annotations. I often make electronic ones when working in Google Docs and highlight and write in the margins when using hard copy.
