These writing samples are from reading-based courses where students are expected to engage with the text in analytical ways. As someone who has a concentration in analytical writing, I have a lot of experience engaging with literary and poetic texts in unique ways.
Below is a paper written for ENG 222: Reading Poems. This is a textual analysis of the theme, images, diction, and rhythm of "The Lamb", a poem by William Blake.
Seen here is my final paper for ENG 238: Arctic Literature, in which I analyze the views and tropes associated with the Arctic in children's literature.
