Developing an Idea
The first step in our process is to develop an idea for your potential movie. If you have internet use the Scholastic Story Idea Generator if you need a potential idea to get you started. Be creative, but remember that your movie must be school appropriate. Please check in with me if you are unsure and I can give you feedback or final approval. If you are working with a group now would be a great time to create a shared document to brainstorm on together.
Extension Activity: Are you creating a story that could continue on after this movie? You might want to spend a little more time planning and creating an outline for a bigger storyline. You don't need all of the details but having a firm foundation and idea in the beginning will be helpful. Read here about 5 Great Writing Tips from J.K.
