The purpose of this unit is to introduce forest ecology content, data collection and analysis to the high school grades in an exploratory, place-based project. Students will ask questions, collect data, explore scientific topics, and analyze data in the context of their local forest. A key feature of this unit is it’s versatility and adaptability.
Teachers should expect to modify resources to fit student’s interests and classroom requirements.
