Founder & Executive Director, Parental Pathways to Reunification...
Erica Fludd is a dedicated advocate, leader, and mother of three who has devoted more than two decades to working with children and families. With a strong background in child welfare, she has spent the last 13 years supporting parents navigating child maltreatment concerns and advocating for the well-being of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. She also brings a total of 20 years of combined experience working within both the child welfare and court systems, giving her a unique perspective on the challenges families face and the supports they need to succeed.
Erica’s passion lies in preserving and restoring the parent-child relationship. Her work is rooted in a deep understanding of the systemic barriers that often hinder family reunification. These experiences inspired her to found Parental Pathways to Reunification in May 2025—a nonprofit organization committed to empowering biological parents and caregivers involved in the foster care system. The organization provides advocacy, education, mentorship, and free access to critical resources that support safe, stable, and successful reunification.
Erica holds a Master of Science in Human Services and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She is passionate about eliminating unnecessary termination of parental rights, reducing the time children spend in foster care, and preventing youth from aging out of the system without permanent family connections.
As the visionary behind Parental Pathways to Reunification, Erica is committed to equity, collaboration, and culturally responsive support for families. Her goal is to ensure that all parents, regardless of background, have the tools and guidance needed to rebuild, strengthen, and maintain meaningful relationships with their children.
