My name is Amber Burtless. I am a former first grade teacher living in Greer, SC. I received a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Winthrop University in 2019. I am a recent graduate of Winthrop's Masters of Education in Learning Design and Technology program.
Before pursuing my Masters, I was a classroom teacher for four years. I taught a year and a half virtually due to Covid. During that time, I loved exploring technology and integrating it into my lessons. When I returned to in-person teaching, I continued integrating technology where I could. Even though I loved teaching, I wanted to do more with technology. Over the next few years, I began researching what I could do as a teacher in technology and found this program. I am excited to see where this opportunity takes me combining my skill sets of technology and teaching.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Michael. We have a 4 year old dog named Guinness. In my free time, I enjoy running, working out, reading, travelling, cheering on the Clemson Tigers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
