Congratulations to the students of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Department, Chen Zhaozhang, Hong Weisheng, Chen Yaohau, and Liu Guanting, for their innovative use of the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system combined with ice storage energy technology. This system successfully reduces energy consumption by approximately 17% and lowers electricity costs by 50% to 68%. The design efficiently shifts peak electricity loads, stabilizing the Taipower grid, and improves system operation efficiency while avoiding heat exchange losses caused by multiple refrigerants. It is expected that this innovative air conditioning design will be applied across various sectors.
Through continuous practice and refinement, the team worked seamlessly together to achieve first place in the national competition, exemplifying the spirit that "details determine success." We would like to express our gratitude to the guiding teachers, Wang Shiangyu, Yang Ziyi, and Qiu Yuwen, for their dedicated guidance, as well as the support from the school's internship department.

Congratulations to Hong Weisheng from the Refrigeration Department for winning the 5th place Gold Medal at the 2023 National Skills and Technology Competition. We thank the guiding teacher, Wang Xiangyu, for his meticulous guidance. This award signifies the ongoing legacy of technical excellence and spirit in the Refrigeration Department, with future students poised to achieve even greater accomplishments.
We also extend our gratitude to the internship department, Director Huang Peiyu, Teacher Qiu Yuwen, and Alumni Li Gang for their technical guidance and financial support.
Congratulations to students Zeng Jun'en, Zeng Yuanchuan, Yan Shicheng, Li Yaxun, and Zhu Hangyi for their successful use of PLC equipment and PID automatic control methods to precisely control the heating and cooling functions in air conditioning systems, demonstrating a 3-fold increase in heating efficiency compared to traditional systems, and saving approximately 30% of construction costs.
Furthermore, congratulations to Liu Weihan, Guo Pinyan, Hong Ruihong, and architectural students Li Enci and Liao Ziyin for their collaborative work on the "Modular Water Circulation Roof Tile" technology. Through experiments, they demonstrated that the system could reduce summer temperatures by up to 10°C and achieve energy savings and carbon reduction while preserving cultural heritage, contributing to sustainable development goals.
