Dissertation 6 Course Description

Students in the Dissertation 6 course will demonstrate the ability to articulate, interpret, and evaluate the theoretical constructs and research of their disciplines by exhibiting advanced levels of analysis and synthesis in research, professional presentations, and written communication. Course requirements for Dissertation 6 include: (1) an academic integrity review for the finalized dissertation, (2) finalized dissertation document aligned to the SNU Dissertation Template and approved by the assigned Dissertation Chair and Dissertation Director, (3) a one-page handout to be distributed during the dissertation oral defense meeting, and (4) a successful dissertation oral defense meeting. 

• Required Revisions: Complete all revisions as noted by your committee members

• Acknowledgements: THIS WEBSITE provides helpful tips for writing the acknowledgements section of your dissertation

• Cross-Check References: Double check that all citations in the dissertation are included in the reference list and vice versa

• Final Review: Send your finalized version of your dissertation to your assigned Dissertation Director and your assigned Academic Writing Specialist for a final review

• Finalize Page Numbers: After you have received final approval, update your page numbers on the Table of Contents, Tables, and Figures

• Convert to a PDF: Convert your finalized document to a PDF and move to the ProQuest Publishing Information!
