本研討會是由是由國立臺中教育大學數學教育學系、國立臺北教育大學數學暨資訊教育學系、國立臺中教育大學師培處暨數學教學領域研究中心、台灣數學教育學會共同舉辦，至今已經舉辦14屆，這幾年每年都有40餘篇論文發表，為國內數學教育界的教師及學生提供發表和學習的舞台，也提供國內數學教育學者與國外學者交流的機會。先前研討會已經邀請了國內外知名學者參與擔任研討會講座，例如Markku Hannula、Masami Isoda、Alan Schoenfeld、Ferdinando Arzarello、Gravemeijer、zalman Usiskin、Olive Chapman、Jinfa Cai、Frederick Koon Shing Leung、Emeritus Kaye Stacey、Lianghuo Fan、Kyeong-Hwa Lee、Berinderjeet Kaur，提供與會來賓有關研究經驗與成果，作為國內數學教育重要之研究與教學資訊。
延續前幾屆科技與數學教育國際學術研討會的宗旨，本次研討會邀請了榮獲臺灣數學教育學會終身成就獎的林福來名譽教授、有關STEM專家(美國)、長期進行數學教育研究與實踐者(日本與香港)，及國內推展數學課程改革的主事者，齊聚一堂，相互切磋交流，期許獲得數學教育未來發展方向與進展，提供現場實踐更堅實的力量與作為。
本次國際學術研討會規劃研討主題為「數學教育的研究和實踐」，主要規劃以下大主題：
(1) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和數學素養教學設計與學習科技
(2) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和數學素養課程內容與數學素養
(3) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和數位素養科技工具與數學教學
(4) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和數學素養師資與數位科技素養
(5) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和數學素養概念發展與學習工具
(6) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和數學素養學習評量與補救教學
(7) 「數學教育的研究和實踐」和其他數學素養教育和數位議題
本研討會擬理論與實際兼容並蓄，實際進行的方式採專題演講、論文發表、工作坊並行。預定安排5場專題演講，48篇論文口頭發表論文和12篇海報發表論文，以及1場工作坊。
This event is the 14th meeting of a series of conferences organized by National Taichung University of Education (Department of Mathematics Education and Center for Mathematics Pedagogy and Research), National Taipei University of Education (Department of Mathematics and Information Education), and Taiwan Association for Mathematics Education. In recent years there are usually over 40 papers presented in each conference, which makes it a good opportunity for mathematics teachers, educators and graduate students to share their works and learn about the latest research on mathematics education, and also provides chances for local scholars to interact with international researchers. Prior meetings invited internationally renowned scholars including Markku Hannula, Masami Isoda, Alan Schoenfeld, Ferdinando Arzarello, Koeno Gravemeijer, Zalman Usiskin, Olive Chapman, Jinfa Cai, Frederick Koon Shing Leung, Kaye Stacey, Lianghuo Fan, Kyeong-Hwa Lee, and Berinderjeet Kaur. They shared much research results and experiences, which became important references for Taiwan’s mathematics education research and practices.
Following the tradition of previous events, this year’s conference has invited Professor Emeritus Fou-Lai Lin, who will receive a Life Achievement Award from Taiwan Association for Mathematics Education, a STEM expert from the US, long-term mathematics educators and practitioners from Japan and Hong Kong, and principal promoters of mathematics education reforms in Taiwan. They shall all come together to discuss possible future developments of mathematics education to provide school teachers with strong supports.
The main theme of the conference this year is “Research and Practice of Mathematics Education”, including the following seven topics:
(1) Mathematics literacy teaching designs and learning technology
(2) Mathematics literacy course contents and mathematics literacy
(3) Digital technology literacy tools and mathematics teaching
(4) Mathematics literacy educators and digital technology literacy
(5) Mathematics literacy concept development and learning tools
(6) Mathematics literacy learning assessments and remedial teaching
(7) Other topics related to mathematics literacy and digital learning.
The conference topics cover both theory and practice, and there are different forms of interactions including speeches, presentations and workshop. There will be 5 keynote speeches, 48 oral presentations, 12 poster presentations, and 1 workshop scheduled in this event.
