I pursue concepts of attention and time- what we pay our attention to, what is deserving of it, and what is needed to be seen that isn’t looked upon. My artistic self is deeply entangled with the need to create an artifact, a record of what once was. I ask viewers to think of their own individual perspective, what they bring through life, and what records remain around us of times and people past.

While drawn to painting’s markmaking, I also incorporate experimental photography, textiles, and sculpture into my practice. Though using many artforms my workflow is able to remain fresh.  I am drawn to study many subjects- primarily Italian and Psychology alongside fine art- and I believe following the pull of these courses has opened my practice to incorporate various views on a deeper level. Studying Italian opened doors to live and study in Florence, Italy, and I met many wonderful artists and got to experience much more of the world. Living in a space rich in cultural history brought further depth into my reflection of what is around every living person. The study of psychology lends itself to a deeper understanding of humanity, which I hope comes forth in the reflections I choose to represent.

I am open to any gallery or commission opportunities. All images are open to be high-quality printed copies, please contact me and I will share cost breakdown.
