Q: Where can I find information about the learning goals when planning an educational program?
A: You can read about the learning goals and residential life outcomes HERE. Each educational program should address at least one, and you should try to target a variety of goals throughout the semester.
Q: Will shot glasses be removed if they are found in a resident's room?
A: If the shot glass is not currently being used (i.e. if there is no alcohol in it), it will not be removed.
Q: Will decorative alcohol bottles be removed if they are found in a resident's room?
A: No, alcohol bottles that are clearly decorative will not be removed.
Q: Where can I find directions for using the P-card?
A: P-card directions and calendars are located on the Expectations page under the Programming information.
Q: Can I sign the P-card out on a Friday and bring it back on a Monday?
A: No. You must make arrangements with your supervisor or another staff member to sign the card out and back in over the weekend (i.e. before the office opens on Monday). You may not hold the card for multiple days, in most cases.
Q: Can I have guests with me while I'm on duty?
A: You may not have guests in the duty box or join you for rounds. We understand that you may have friends stop by, but we expect that their visit ends after ~15 minutes (they should not be staying long enough to pull up a chair). This ensures that you are approachable for residents who may have questions or need your help with something.
