School-based Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) serve children across all grades. In the schools we work with children with a wide range of communication disabilities including language, articulation, and fluency. School-based SLPs are available to work with those students whose communication disabilities affect their educational performance.
At Memorial School, Speech-Language Pathologists screen and evaluate children who are referred by early intervention services, their parents, or teachers for concerns with communication. For more information on the referral process please refer to the office of Student Services.
We consult with parents, preschool teachers, and classroom teachers as to how to improve communication skills across settings.
We provide inclusion services (in the general education setting) and pull-out services (outside of the general educations setting) to best address individual student's needs.
