I am a senior at Goucher College, pursuing a B.A. in Communications and Media Studies, with a minor in professional writing. I am passionate about writing and knitting, so I combined these two in order to study and research an online community that I could relate to. I started to knit at the age of five, continuing throughout my years at the Waldorf school, knitting anything from a doll in second grade, to socks and gloves in fifth grade. I took a brief hiatus in high school but eventually fell back in love with it during my junior year of high school.
Whenever I have time to relax, I am usually knitting and watching something on Netflix, which is currently Grey's Anatomy. My future dream is to own my own yarn shop, with live music and winetasting events on Thursday-Saturday evenings. This will probably be in some part of Northern California, but who knows where I will be when this dream becomes a reality. My current favorite yarn is Crazy Sexy Wool by Wool and The Gang (pictured above), and I have many Works In Progress (wip's).
Also, yes, I did knit the sweater I am wearing in the image I used for the header of this page.
Below are most of the garments I knit these past two semesters during class, which helped me focus.
