Founded in 1993 in Yuba City, California, PAHS aims to promote cross-cultural understanding and help young Punjabis connect to their cultural roots. The society is a secular, non-profit organization that has established the "Becoming American" exhibit, narrating the story of Punjabi immigration to America. ​
