About Us

We have decided to spend our semester focusing on the history of the LGBTQ+ community. The stories of the LGBTQ+ community have not been sufficiently recorded in the Central Valley due to its conservative nature. We began our initial research by looking through the special collections available at the Fresno State library. We were shocked to see the lack of recorded history despite the rich LGBTQ+ community in the Tower District. This only further motivated us to contribute to the study of the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Fresno.

Jackson

Jackson is a soon-to-be graduate with hopes of returning as a student in the History Graduate Program.

Jasleen

Jasleen is a third year political science major with a history minor. She plans to study international relations in the future.

Maddie

Maddie is also a soon-to-be graduate and aspiring children's entertainer and educator.

Madison

Maddie is a fourth year History student. She plans on attending the MLIS program at SJSU.

Sienna

Sienna is also a soon-to-be graduate with plans to become a Librarian.
